About Emma, founder of
Emwa Jewelry
Emma is the founder, designer, and creator of Emwa Jewelry — a conscious jewelry studio rooted in artistic lineage, personal storytelling, and the beauty of slowing down.
Since 2017, Emma designs and handcrafts custom, symbolic pieces using recycled etchical and conscious gold, silver and precious stones. Her creations have been shipped internationally, featured in ELLE Magazine and Flair Belgium, exhibited in six European boutiques and in design fairs. She collaborated with creative and inspiring leaders such as Aline from The Wellnest, Chloé Chian, Alix Rufas, Fleuropean, and has taught over 40 students, some of whom now craft their own jewelry collections.
Coming from a lineage of artists and artisans, Emma was immersed from childhood in a world of beauty, textures, and meaning. Graphic designers, stylists, sculptors, garden architects, and painters filled her environment — shaping her sensitivity and sharpening her sense of aesthetics. She vividly recalls afternoons with her father in the bronze workshop — the smell of wax, the tools for patina — early memories that quietly prepared her for a life of conscious creation.
Emma crafted her first metal jewelry pieces at nine years old, and began collecting handmade pieces during her travels — intuitively drawn to their soul, weight, and story. After years of self-teaching, she apprenticed in Utrecht (Netherlands), Brussels (Belgium), and Asheville (United States), absorbing not just technique but the ethical, spiritual, and emotional dimensions of the craft. Today, she creates from her home studio in the North Carolina Appalachian mountains and from a shared studio in the city.
Her approach is highly personal, rooted in hypersensitivity, intentional living, conscious design, and spirituality. Every piece exist as a symbol and an honor to our stories, memories, and mantras. Emma often receives intuitions that guide the design process, allowing her to translate emotions, values, and life passages into form. Curves, engravings, textures, and settings all carry intentional meaning — making each creation a material echo of a story.
Emma is one of the rare jewelers who recycle lineage gold, turning heirloom materials into contemporary, elegant pieces that retain the emotional imprint of their past. She works only with materials that feel aligned — ethically sourced, energetically clear, and aesthetically timeless.
In its essence, Emwa Jewelry aims to create a movement toward meaning. In a world shaped by speed and standardization, Emma invites a return to personal rhythm. Her work celebrates individuality, presence, and the sacred in the everyday. Each piece is designed to be worn daily, carried through time, and passed on with intention — a companion for those who choose to live aligned with their essence.
